About Us
Tilted Hat Logging is a veteran owned and operated family business, located at the foot of the Bighorn Mountains in Northeast Wyoming. Our family is the seventh generation to call Wyoming home, and we're proud to continue a legacy of hard work, integrity, and dedication to preserving Wyoming's beauty and resources. We select and source all of our own materials from public and private lands in the Bighorns. Our family helps maintain the health of Wyoming forests by removing fallen and standing dead trees from the area, thereby reducing the amount of potential forest fire fuel. This practice also helps open up the canopy for existing trees to continue to grow and thrive. From beginning to end, each piece we create is unique to our business. Michael, an Army combat veteran, prides himself on creating beautiful custom pieces that will last for generations to come. His love for the mountains he calls his "happy place" shines through in every piece. Together with his wife, Cody, and their son, Michael harvests the Aspen and Pine trees that become the furniture he builds, hand scrapes and mills the lumber, and assembles them in his home shop. From small shelves and tables to large beds, dressers, and dining tables, each piece becomes a part of our family's story, and hopefully, a part of yours as well. We believe in ethically sourcing and preserving Wyoming's natural resources, so that our children and grandchildren can enjoy the beauty of our state with the generations to come. When you purchase a piece from our small business, not only are you helping support that mission, but you're also bringing a part of our beautiful state home to you. We would love the opportunity to bring your custom vision to life - please feel free to contact us with any questions or for additional information.
